SuperBellHill

Super Bell Hill from Super Mario 3D World is a good example of a plains-themed stage.

Stages, levels, or locations with a plains theme are areas that are associated with grassy plains. It is one of the many reoccurring themes in the Mario franchise.

Other Traits and features[]

Plains-themed stages tend to be grassy areas with simple platforms to jump on, making them one of the easiest stages to play on, and usually mark the beginning of an entire game. World 1-1 from Super Mario Bros. is the very first plains-themed stage in the game as well as in the entire series. Plains-themed stages also feature many flowers and gimmicks, such as Flower Fields in Paper Mario.

Almost every type of enemy can be found in plains-themed stages. However, Goombas and Koopa Troopas are by far the most common enemies in these stages.

The only notable hazards are bottomless pits. They are often found near enemies, forcing the player to time when and where to jump so that they won't hit the enemy or fall into the pit.
