Cat-O-9-Tails is a blue cat enemy appearing in the Donkey Kong series.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest[]
Cat-O-9-Tails make their first appearance in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest in the level Mudhole Marsh and final in Fiery Furnace.
Cat-O-9-Tails appears uncommonly in-game and only appears in three levels in the entire game itself. It is also one of the few Kremling Krew members to not be a Kremling itself.
Its attacks include spinning around and chasing Diddy and Dixie while spinning them around, trying to fling them into some area such as an abyss, Zinger or another harmful area. They constantly spin until becoming tired out temporarily, allowing the two monkeys to have their chance to jump or spin/cartwheel into it. Cartwheels do not work when Cat-O-9-Tails is spinning.

- Cat-O-9-Tails is one of the few enemies not to reappear in Donkey Kong Land 2.
- Despite being called Cat-O-9-Tails, it only has seven. Its name is also based on the saying that cats have nine lives.
