Mario vs. Donkey Kong

Capture Kongs are a recurring enemy in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series. They first appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.

Profile[]

Physical description[]

Capture Kongs resemble Donkey Kong, except they have gray fur, dark skin, red eyes, a purple necktie with a red "C," and a large, golden sack on their back. In Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, Capture Kongs instead have a "W" on their tie, a barrel on their back instead of a sack, and larger, red eyes. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, this design was reverted.

Behavior[]

A Capture Kong carries a sack on its back, where it stuffs Minis into if they come into contact with a Capture Kong. Capture Kongs walk back and forth across level terrain, including spikes. Any Minis captured by Capture Kong cannot be used until a different Mini either throws a fireball at Capture Kong while in its Fire form or hits it with a Hammer; in either case, this temporarily stuns the Capture Kong. There is no limit as to how many Minis a Capture Kong can capture, and if it captures all Minis in a level, this results in losing at the level.
