Battle[]
After Bowletta (a fusion of both Bowser and Cackletta) has been defeated, she inhales them inside of her body. When Mario and Luigi are inhaled, they start off with a single Health Point because a Time Bob-omb exploded next to them, so Mario and Luigi have to quickly restore their HP, otherwise they faint.
When Cackletta's Soul is first seen, she exclaims that that she will defeat them and eat them for lunch.
Attacks[]
Giant Energy Orb: The head powers up and spits out a giant orb of energy at Mario or Luigi. The orb has to be hammered four times to destroy it.
Eye Beams: The head's eyes shift up or down, then freezes time before firing a powerful laser. The eyes tell where the lasers will be fired at. This attack is performed 3 times in succession.
Arm Swing: The Soul's infamous attack. All the parts must be alive for this attack to be used, and will be used as a counterattack when the head is attacked and survives while both arms are still alive. The arms swing around and around, dealing high damage each and every time they hit one of the Bros.. The head's eyes will shift up and down to denote the height at which the arms will swing.
Thunder Orb: The Right Arm creates a sphere of electricity that has to be hit back and forth between the Bros.. The orb doesn't deal much damage but has a high chance of inflicting POW-Down.
Flame Spin: The Left Arm conjures two small flame trails that circle around the Bros., occasionally slowing down and circling in the other direction before dissipating. The flames don't deal much damage, but have a high chance of inflicting DEF-Down.
Finger Flick: The arms fly towards the Bros., stopping right before them before flicking them, dealing damage. The arms can be countered with the Hammer.
Energy Orb Barrage: The head creates multiple small orbs that flash a color, then travel towards the respectively colored Bro. Orbs that don't change color disappear instead. The orbs have to be countered with the Hammer, which sends them into the Soul, dealing damage to a random part. The orbs also don't deal much damage.
Fawful Copy: The head creates a ghastly version of Fawful who fires harmful green energy orbs that deal high damage. After he fires the orbs, he moves in and mockingly laughs in front of Mario or Luigi. Quickly quiet the doppelganger by crushing him with the Hammer. If you don't hit him, then he backs away and fires the orbs again.
Power Boost: The heart gives a random part a temporary POW-Up effect.
Heal: The heart heals the HP of all the parts.
When Cackletta's Soul is defeated and disappears into thin air, Cackletta is gone once and for all. As the soul is gone and stops powering Bowletta, she goes away and Bowser turns back to normal.
Her HP on both arms are now 320 and the heart is 1280.
Most notably, her Speed was reduced so that a decently fast (80+ SPD) Bro will act before she does, giving the duo a chance to recover their HP. She gained a massive boost to her HP and Defense, requiring several cycles of exposing and attacking the Heart barring extremely offensive strategies or extensive grinding to increase the Bros' Attack. Her Left and Right arm are also colored red and blue, representing the element they absorb (Red for fire, Blue for thunder) while being weak to the other: the Heart also absorbs both.
Attacks[]
Finger Flick: The arms quickly fly towards the Bros., and then flicks them up into the air, dealing damage with a potential chance to inflict Trip. Attacking the head may prompt this to be used as a counterattack.
Overhand Slap: The arms fly up and then slap down onto the Bros.. This attack can be combined with the Finger Flick. Can inflict Trip. New to this version. Attacking the head may prompt this to be used as a counterattack.
Arm Swing: The Soul's infamous attack. All the parts must be alive for this attack to be used. Attacking the head while both arms are alive will prompt this to be used as a counterattack. The arms swing around and around, dealing damage each time they hit, each hit also having a chance to Trip. The head's eyes will dictate whether the arms will swing up high or low.
Thunder Orb: The Right Arm conjures an orb of electricity that has to be hit back and forth between the Bros.. The orb deals high damage with a chance of inflicting POW-Down.
Flame Spin: The Left Arm conjures two large flames that circle around the Bros., occasionally and suddenly reversing direction. The flames don't deal much damage but can cause DEF-Down.
Eye Beams: The head's eyes shift up or down before freezing time and firing a powerful laser. Pay attention to the eyes and jump with the respective brother if they look down before she stops time. This attack is only used one time instead of 3 times per attack.
Energy Orb Barrage: The head creates multiple orbs colored blue, red and green. The orbs warp around the screen before attacking the respectively colored Bro.. Blue orbs will simply disappear.
Fawful Copy: The head creates a ghastly version of Fawful who shoots purple energy orbs at the Bros.. After the clone fires the orbs, they move forward and laugh at one of the Bros., quickly silence him with a strike of the Hammer. If you miss your opportunity to hit him, he'll fire the orbs again, repeating the cycle. The soul will only use this attack after around 40% of its HP has been depleted.
Giant Energy Orb: The head powers up and spits a giant energy orb at Mario or Luigi. The orb has to be countered 4 times with the Hammer to destroy it. The orb deals extreme damage if it hits, so be careful. The soul will only use this attack after about half its HP has been depleted.
Heal: The heart restores the HP of 1 part.
Power Boost: The heart gives one of the parts a temporary POW-Up effect.
Being defeated by Cackletta's Soul will give the player the option to restart the battle, without having to defeat Bowletta again.
When Cackletta's Soul is defeated, she staggers back in pain as her form begins dissipating. She attempts to wave away the thick smog and reaches her arms out to Luigi, attempting to take him down with her, but she explodes before she can.
In the GBA version, Cackletta's Soul would use her middle finger to preform her flicking attacks, although the Nintendo 3DS version changes this to her index finger instead.
In the GBA version, Cackletta's arms are purple just like the rest of her soul but still uses thunder on her right arm and fire on her left arm, although in the Nintendo 3DS version, it is revealed that her left arm is orange which resembles Mario's fire power and her right arm is light blue which resembles Luigi's thunder power.
