Their shape and color gives them their slight resemblance to Bob-ombs. They are found in Lethal Lava Land and Bowser in the Fire Sea and can be defeated by knocking the into lava, which yields one coin. This is achieved by jumping on, kicking, punching or diving at them; they always move in the direction Mario is facing. If they see an enemy, they attack by charging, similarly trying to push their opponent into lava.There is another type of Bully that is made of ice, the Chill Bully.

Big Bullies are larger versions of Bullies, and reside in the same level.
Bullies are redesigned in Super Mario 3D World. They are now about twice Mario's height. Their pupiled eyes are larger, rounder, and placed together, giving a cuter yet still angered appearance. They are navy blue, and have new, pot-like shapes with a rimmed bottom. Their feet are larger and their stubbier horns are horizontally-placed on the sides of their heads
