For information about Bully Koopa from the cartoons, see Roy Koopa.

Bullies are black spherical enemies with yellow horns in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. Their shape and color gives them their slight resemblance to Bob-ombs. They are found in Lethal Lava Land and Bowser in the Fire Sea. Bullies can be defeated despite their tough nature by knocking them into lava, which yields one coin. This is achieved by jumping on, kicking, punching or diving at them; Bullies always move in the direction Mario is facing. If someone encroaches on their territory, Bullies will attack by charging at their foe, similarly trying to push their opponent into lava. There is another type of Bully that is made of ice, the Chill Bully.

Big Bullies are larger versions of Bullies and have their design elements, and reside in the same level.

Bullies are redesigned in Super Mario 3D World. They are now about twice Mario's height. Their pupils are larger, rounder, and placed together, giving a cuter yet still angered appearance. They are navy blue and have new, pot-like shapes with a rimmed bottom. Their feet are larger, and their stubbier horns are horizontally-placed on the sides of their heads. This variation appears in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam as an enemy, where it attacks by charging, which can be hammered away or jumped.
