Bucket (Yoshi franchise)

Buckets are an object featured in several Yoshi platformers, especially the Yoshi's Island series, and first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Description[]

Buckets are attached to red pole-like objects hanging from walls or the ceiling. Most of them appear in castle or fortress levels. A Yoshi can shoot an egg at a bucket for it to fall off, with some buckets releasing five coins upon falling off. Sometimes a bucket is found hanging above lava, and by shooting it into the lava, a Yoshi can use it as a makeshift boat to travel across harmlessly.

In the Yoshi's Island series, Buckets have a stone gray appearance with a question mark (possibly a reference to ? Blocks) and a black handle hanging from a red pole. In Yoshi's Story, buckets have a more wooden appearance. In Yoshi's New Island, there are also yellow Buckets.
