Bubbles's Gear is a clothing item in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. They can be worn by either Mario or Luigi, and are sometimes dropped by Fuzzbushes, which is the only means of obtaining Bubbles's Gear from.

In the games[]

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, equipping Bubbles's Gear increases the user's HP by 6 and their Defense by 40. Its possibility of being dropped by Fuzzbushes only occurs if Mario or Luigi either use the Advanced Swing Bros. attack or have the Game Boy Horror SP equipped.

In the Nintendo 3DS remake, Bubbles's Gear instead increases a user's Defense by 21, nearly half as in the original version, and it no longer increases any HP. Bubbles's Gear still has a possibility of being dropped by Fuzzbushes, but no longer have any prerequisites. Bubbles's Gear now has the Poison Dodge Special Effect, giving its user invulnerability to the Poison status effect. It can be sold at a low price of 5 coins.
