Brutius Maximus Grouchimus is a one-time character who makes an appearance in the The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "The Great Gladiator Gig." He serves as the guardian of the Linguini Empire Colosseum within the Linguini Empire, based on the Roman Empire in the real world.

Because if you do… Hoo hoo hoo hoo hoooooo… A horrible fate awaits you.At first, Brutius Maximus Grouchimus is welcoming to Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad, and invites them to a spaghetti dinner. However, he later betrays them to ally with King Koopa and the Koopa Troop. By the end, Brutius Maximus Grouchimus had become good again.
