Bowser Monsters is a baseball team led by Bowser in the Mario Baseball series. The team first appears in Mario Superstar Baseball and makes a reappearance in Mario Super Sluggers.
In Mario Superstar Baseball[]
Aside from Bowser, Bowser Monsters always consists of Bowser Jr., at least one Dry Bones, and either Hammer Bro, Boomerang Bro, or Fire Bro. Bowser Monsters is featured in the story of Challenge Mode, and consists of Bowser, Bowser Jr., Dry Bones, Green Dry Bones, Red Dry Bones, Blue Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, Boomerang Bro, and Fire Bro. Bowser Monsters are the final boss of Challenge Mode, and the player's team can compete against them at Bowser Castle once they have won against every other team captain. Whereas all the other teams were trying to play a game against Bowser, when playing as the Bowser Monsters, Bowser heads out to challenge them. This is not necessary for Bowser, as he just sent out the letter but, of course, Bowser does not listen to Lakitu, and heads out to challenge them
Bowser Monsters is the only default team in Challenge Mode that is not playable from the start, but they can become a playable team within Challenge Mode by clearing it in Special difficulty. By default, Bowser cannot have Bowser Monsters as his team name outside of Challenge mode because Hammer Bro and its two variants, Boomerang Bro and Fire Bro, have to be unlocked first, by clearing Challenge Mode as Bowser Monsters.
In Mario Super Sluggers[]
Bowser Monsters makes a reappearance. Magikoopa and its three color variations, Red Magikoopa, Green Magikoopa, and Yellow Magikoopa, have all been added as additional teammates. When led by Bowser Jr., the team is called Bowser Jr. Rookies and during challenge mode in Bowser Jr. Playroom the Rookies will have all Dry Bones and Magikoopas. Like the previous game, all the members of the Bowser Monsters have good chemistry with Bowser, with the Magikoopas and Bro variants having good chemistry with Bowser Jr. as well while Dry Bones does not have Chemstry with Jr. Koopa Troopas have good chemistry with Bowser, Bowser Jr., and Dry Bones, and Koopa Paratroopas have good chemistry with only Bowser. Boo also shares good chemistry with Magikoopas.
The Bowser Monsters is tied with the Yoshi Eggs for having the most players on one team.
