The Bowser Kite is a glider that appears in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Description[]
Following its namesake, it is a kite modelled after Bowser, and there is a seal with the kanji "任天" ("Ninten").
In Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[]
The Bowser Kite must be unlocked by collecting a randomized amount of coins. The Bowser Kite boosts acceleration in both games, but in the original game, it hinders weight, while in Deluxe, speed and traction is hindered.
In the original game, the Bowser Kite shares its stats with the Cloud Glider, Peach Parasol, Parachute, Parafoil, MKTV Parafoil, and Hylian Kite. In Deluxe, its stats are no longer shared with the Cloud Glider, Parachute, or Hylian Kite.
