Bouncies are a species which appear in Yoshi's Island DS.

Physical description[]
A Bouncy is large, bubble-shaped species with a light pink complexion. They have orange cheeks and a smiling face.
Behavior[]
Bouncies remain in one place, giving off the impression of being an inanimate object. If a Yoshi touches a Bouncy, he is bounced up high. Depending on where the Bouncy is placed, this can either help the Yoshi or serve as a hindrance to him.

Bouncies first appear in level 2-5: Boing!. The level's icon most prominently shows a Debull, but a part of Bouncy is displayed to the left and right sides of the Debull each.
Bouncies are notably featured within their own minigame, Bouncy Maze, in which a Yoshi has to make his way through a maze by bouncing across a series of Bouncies placed closely together. There is a series of Bouncies placed slightly above those on the bottom. Because of this, Bouncies mainly serve as an obstacle, as the Yoshi slows down whenever he bounces between two of them. In the minigame's easy mode, Bouncies are positioned in a way that makes for a wide path, but in the hard mode, the path between them is longer and windier.
