"Born to Ride" is the seventh episode of the Super Mario World cartoon.
Plot[]
Mario and Luigi are installing a sink in the Dome Castle, only to find that it's not working properly, and discover the reason why - Yoshi was eating the plumbing. Mario and Luigi scold Yoshi for his behavior, causing him to think they don't want him around and decide to run away. After walking a few miles, Yoshi encounters a group of bikers named the Dino Riders - Duke (the leader), Rock (the big one), and Lulu (the girl). When Yoshi tells the Dino Riders about his problems with the Mario Bros., they offer him membership, provided that he commit a crime. Even though he doesn't fully succeed at graffiti (he paints a smiley face on a house) and throwing a Bob-omb into a house (Lulu has to help him do that), they accept him into the gang. Unbeknownst to Yoshi, the Dino Riders are actually actually taking advantage of them so they can capture the Marios and bring them to King Koopa, who is offering an enormous reward for their capture.
Yoshi then goes back to tell the Mario Bros. and Princess Toadstool (who is mad at them for scolding Yoshi as he is just a baby as portrayed in this show, and wouldn't know any better) that he joined a gang, and that the Dino Riders want to talk with the Mario Bros. at the milk bar. The Bros. accept and go to the milk bar. Inside lurk the Dino Riders, who immediately capture the Mario Bros. and tell them that they took advantage of Yoshi. Luckily, Yoshi overhears them.
Yoshi gets the Princess to go with him to where the Dino Riders are holding the Mario Bros. captive (near a lava pit). Yoshi unties the Mario Bros., and the Dino Riders give chase to them. After a long chase scene, they come across a Warp Pipe. Yoshi returns his gear to the Dino Riders, and goes back home with the Bros. and the Princess. When they return home, after Mario says that he promised Yoshi that he wouldn't yell at him ever again, Yoshi pulls a prank on them by making them believe he ate the plumbing again, but Mario tries the sink again and it works.

Trivia/Goofs[]
- This episode is 108A in production order and also the last episode to air with a new Captain N episode.
- This episode can be seen as social commentary about street gangs.
- Because alcoholic references are inappropriate for children, the bar that Mario and Luigi go into serves milk.
- First and only appearance of the Dino Riders.
- While King Koopa is mentioned several times, he doesn't appear in this episode.
- When Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi are outside the milk bar, many motorcycles can be seen parked outside. However, when Mario and Luigi go inside, the place is empty except for the Dino Riders. Furthermore, when the show switches back to Yoshi outside, all of the bikes parked outside have disappeared.
- Factual error: Rock is knocked into a lava pit during the bike chase, but he is still alive when the chase is over. He couldn't have possibly survived that.
- Mario and Luigi appear to be standing on the wall when the Princess gets mad at them for scolding Yoshi.
- In the shot just before Yoshi hits the row of blocks, the blocks appear as if they were already hit.
- When Yoshi paints the smiley face, he starts out with white paint, but the painting comes out red.
- The music heard while the Super Mario World logo is shown is not heard anywhere else in the series.
- After Yoshi says he didn't know that he was eating the plumbing, the next shot shows Luigi and Mario. Notice the "L" on Luigi's cap is white on a black background.
- In the end, when Toadstool turns on the faucet, water is coming from it and the bowl is filled. But when the close-up of Yoshi comes, there is no water coming from the faucet, nor is there any in the bowl. But we hear water running in the background.
- When Duke and Lulu are chasing Yoshi and Toadstool, Lulu's helmet turns a lighter green for a bit.
- When Mario & Luigi are seen going into the milk bar, Yoshi's sunglasses turn green like his skin.
