Boomerangs are an object thrown by Boomerang Bros since Super Mario Bros. 3. Just like a Hammer Bro's hammers or a Fire Bro's fireballs, touching a Boomerang Bro's boomerang damages Mario or another playable character. Boomerangs also appear when Boomerang Mario throws them.
