Boo Mushroom

Boo Mushroom is a type of power-up mushroom item featured in both Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Super Mario Galaxy[]

The Boo Mushroom first appears in the Ghostly Galaxy, where Mario must use it to navigate through a large mansion. Upon using a Boo Mushroom, Mario or Luigi can transform into their Boo form.

The Boo Mushroom grants Mario the ability to hover in midair like a Boo, become invisible for a few seconds, and pass through certain walls. The effects of a Boo Mushroom wear off if Boo Mario or Boo Luigi touch a source of light, water, or an enemy.
