Boo's Crystal Ball is an item in Mario Party 4.

Description[]

Upon using the item, Boo appears and asks the player to steal Coins or a Star for a fee. This item is similar to the Boo Bell from Mario Party 2. A Boo's Crystal Ball costs 25 coins to purchase at the Item Shop. The player can have Boo steal either coins or stars from their target, costing five coins for the former and 50 coins for the latter. The targeted character can fight back (by tapping A) to lose less coins as the Boo takes Coins from them. (The maximum number of coins the victim can lose is 30, while the minimum is 10.) The character cannot fight back if the Boo steals a Star. If the victim has the Gaddlight, they can automatically chase the Boo away when he runs after their Coins or Stars. (That is, when a player summons a Boo from this item.) Then the victim is protected, the Boo does not steal anything, and the player --who summoned the Boo-- ends up wasting 5 coins (to steal coins) or 50 coins (to steal a star) for nothing.
