Bone Piranha Plants, or Dry Piranha Plants, are enemies which first appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2. They are a skeleton variant of Piranha Plant and are found in various fortress and castle levels. Bone Piranha Plants have a larger variant named Big Bone Piranha Plant.
In New Super Mario Bros. 2[]
Bone Piranha Plants first appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2 where there are less common first appearing in World 4-Tower then in World 5-Castle.
Unlike a standard Piranha Plant, Bone Piranha Plants are invulnerable to fireballs but are vulnerable to Gold Fireballs. They can also be killed using Raccoon Mario's tail or from being touched by Mario or Luigi while they are invincible.
In Mario Party: Island Tour[]
Bone Piranha Plants Plants also appear in Mario Party: Island Tour.
In Mario Kart 8/Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[]
Bone Piranha Plants also appear in Mario Kart 8 and its Nintendo Switch enhanced port Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as an obstacle in Bone-Dry Dunes.
