The Bolt Buggy is a kart appearing in the Mario Kart series.
Description[]
The Bolt Buggy has a chassis that resembles the Pipe Frame. It is light yellow, with headlights on the front. The emblem is located on the back, on a navy blue block.
Mario Kart series[]
In Mario Kart 7[]
The Bolt Buggy debuted in Mario Kart 7, as a default vehicle part. It appears to be Donkey Kong's signature kart in the game, along with the Barrel Train. It gives a boost in speed, weight and off-road, but hinders acceleration and handling. However, the Bolt Buggy has the lowest calculated stats total, similar to the Gold Tires, Peach Parasol and Flower Glider.
During races, a computer controlled Bowser, Donkey Kong and Rosalina may use the Bolt Buggy frequently.
The Bolt Buggy is used in Time Trials, for the normal Staff Ghost on DK Jungle, and the Expert Staff Ghost for N64 Kalimari Desert and DS DK Pass.
