The general layout of Lethal Lava Land is unchanged for this mission, so it can be completed even if selecting a different mission.
Objective[]
Mario fighting Big Bully in Super Mario 64 DS
Mario (or Yoshi, Luigi, or Wario in Super Mario 64 DS) has to defeat the Big Bully, who is encountered on a square-shaped platform in the back center. He can reached in two different ways:
From the starting point, Long Jump over the gap, then take a left and a right. Move across the puzzle pieces and continue right to the Big Bully.
Go to the right instead, then jump to avoid the lava. Avoid the fireballs coming from the lava, then go to the right again to the curved pathway, and jump to the platforms that repeatedly sink in and out of the lava. Mario then has to get onto a grid platform leading to Big Bully.
Upon reaching Big Bully, Mario has to knock it into the lava. Each time he attacks Big Bully, such as from punching, it is pushed farther back, although Big Bully can still quickly move away from the edge. Once Big Bully has been defeated, the Power Star appears on a nearby on a tall black platform. Stairs make an appearance to help Mario get up onto the platform.
