Board Bowser's Sub

Board Bowser's Sub is the first mission of Dire, Dire Docks in Super Mario 64 and its remake Super Mario 64 DS. Completing this mission is required to access Bowser in the Fire Sea. The objective is to collect a Power Star aboard Bowser's Sub.

In Super Mario 64 DS, Mario is the only character who can play through Board Bowser's Sub the first time, as the Big Star Door only allows him to enter if Bowser in the Fire Sea is not yet completed. The mission can later be replayed with either Luigi, Yoshi, or Wario once he has been unlocked later on.

Layout[]

Mario has to swim all the way down to a wide tunnel, with a ring of coins surrounding it, and then continue down it until he reaches a wide area. Mario must swim all the way up to find Bowser's Sub, then find a way on it. The Power Star is found floating slightly above Bowser's Sub, and Mario can jump at the Power Star to obtain it, ending the mission.
