Blue Blazes are a ghost enemy in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.

Physical description[]

Blue Blazes are a variant of Blue Twirlers with a semi-transparent white body and a heart protected by the element of water.

Behavior[]

Like Blue Twirlers, a Blue Blaze attacks by slamming onto the ground, dealing 10 HP to Luigi if he is within range.

In Luigi's Mansion[]

Blue Blazes normally only appear in the Safari Room, in response to when Luigi shaking the deer head in the middle. During the blackout, a Blue Blaze can optionally be encountered in the center of the Tea Room. In the PAL release's Hidden Mansion, two Blue Blazes appear in the Telephone Room.

Blue Blazes are vulnerable to ice, which Luigi can blast from his Poltergust 3000, provided it contains any, at the Blue Blaze to expose its heart. After this, Luigi can then vacuum the Blue Blaze into the Poltergust 3000, after vacuuming away its 30 HP.
