Bloopers (ゲッソー, Gessō, often referred to as Bloobers until Paper Mario, though Blooper was in use beforehand) are a recurring enemy species in the Mario franchise. They first appear in Super Mario Bros..

Profile[]

Physical description[]

Bloopers are white, squid-like creatures featured in varying sizes and colors. In Super Mario Bros., Bloopers are about the size of a Koopa Troopa. They possess varying numbers of tentacles, ranging from four to ten visible limbs, of various lengths.

Behavior[]

Like squids in general, Bloopers use their tentacles as a means of moving underwater. In some appearances, Bloopers use their tentacles to attack the player's character. Certain games like the Mario Kart series show that Bloopers are capable of surviving outside of water.

Habitats[]

Bloopers dwell in several underwater areas., not just in the Mushroom Kingdom but also other locations such as Isle Delfino.
