Physical description[]
Bloatulas are a bloated spider-like species with a magenta body with purple stripes, below they have yellow eyes and fangs. Above they have a hole to unleash their strings, and four black legs around their body.
Powers and abilities[]
Bloatulas attack by using their strings to swing and break it to head towards Mario or Luigi. It can either go forward or backwards. If it goes forward, it will roll towards Mario or Luigi and one of them will have to make a jump to avoid. But if it snaps the string just as it was heading towards a bro, it will fly over the bro, who must simply idle to avoid being hit. If it goes backwards, it will bounce offscreen and reappear behind one of the Mario Bros. attempting to hit them. The targeted bro must jump to avoid it. But if it snaps the string just as it was swinging away from the Mario Bros., it will fly over the targeted bro, and if that bro jumps he will get hit. When a Bloatula heads towards a bro, that bro could make a counterattack if timed perfectly.

Bloatulas are encountered underneath the bridge of Pi'illo Castle.
