Blarggwich

A Blarggwich is a species which assists the Yoshis in the Yoshi's Island series. Blarggwiches are a ghost-like creature with a Flatbed Ferry on their head, and they first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, in which they are named Support Ghost.

A Yoshi can stand on a Blarggwich's head to have it move around in a set pattern. While the Yoshi can reach higher areas this way, it can also risk him hitting an enemy or a hazardous object. It also can lead Yoshi to traps and helpful items.

One Blarggwich appears in the Yoshi's Island stage of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It has a green Flatbed Ferry on its head. Unlike in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, the Blarggwich does not move around but rather appears at random, serving as an extra platform for fighters to stand on. The Blarggwich also retreats at random, so there is still the risk of fighters falling into the pit below.

Blarggwiches make a reappearance in Yoshi's New Island.
