Black Lava Bubbles are a variant of Lava Bubbles made of black paint.
In Paper Mario: Color Splash[]
They only appear in Black Bowser's Castle, during the battle with Black Bowser. Here, Black Lava Bubbles are formed from the black paint dropped by Black Bowser to assist him in battling Mario and Huey. Black Lava Bubbles can vary in size when summoned, depending on how much damage Black Bowser takes. Only three Black Lava Bubbles can appear at the same time before returning to Black Bowser.
