The Black Cat is a mysterious cat who appears in Wario Land 4 as both a guide and an ally to Wario.

In Wario Land 4

The Black Cat first appears in the cutscene shown when booting up the game. She is almost hit by the Wario Car as Wario dashes his way to the Golden Pyramid when he heard about all of the treasure found within. The Black Cat gets to the Golden Pyramid before Wario and guides him to the main area.

During Wario's journey in the Golden Pyramid, the Black Cat makes some appearances, such as from entering an Item Shop in the corridor preceding a boss fight. The Black Cat has the ability to transform into other forms, namely the shop owner.

Spoiler warning : Don't you even dare read the spoiler! Because if you do… Hoo hoo hoo hoo hoooooo… A horrible fate awaits you.

When Wario reaches the Golden Diva, the Black Cat tries to attack the Golden Diva, but is unsuccessful. The Golden Diva sucks the Black Cat into her nose, starting Wario's battle against the Golden Diva. When the Golden Diva's lips are attacked, the Black Cat emerges and guides Wario out of the Golden Pyramid before it gets destroyed. Once they have escaped, the Black Cat reveals herself to be Princess Shokora, who formerly ruled over the Golden Pyramid area.
