A Black Bogmire is an enemy in Luigi's Mansion.

Physical description[]
A Black Bogmire is a transparent, shadowy clone of Bogmire. They have a small outline showing their general shape, a shadow underneath, and the same yellow eyes as Bogmire, which are the only non-shadowy part of their body.
Behavior[]
Black Bogmires attack Luigi by slowly lurching towards him. They come in two sizes, with small ones being about as big as Luigi and large ones being nearly twice his size. The smaller ones are easier to suck up, but the larger ones do a better job of weakening Bogmire, thereby allowing Luigi to deplete more of the former's health.
In Luigi's Mansion[]
During the boss fight against Bogmire in the Graveyard, Black Bogmires are individually spawned from Bogmire's actual shadow. Luigi can suck up a Black Bogmire with his Poltergust 3000, causing it to become stuck as a ball on its nozzle. Luigi can then aim and blast it at Bogmire to trap him in a large black bubble, leaving Bogmire vulnerable to the Poltergust 3000. As such, Luigi is required to use Black Bogmires against Bogmire during the battle. Once Luigi starts vacuuming Bogmire, he tries to pull Luigi through any active Black Bogmires on the field to break him off and deal damage. Alternatively, if Luigi launches the Black Bogmire elsewhere than on Bogmire, it disappears.
After after Bogmire loses a specific number of HP from the Poltergust 3000, Black Bogmires can be spawned by lightning, in which case only a few are produced at a time.
