Birdo Eggs appear in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart Tour and have pink spots instead of the green ones that Yoshi has. A Birdo will spit Birdo Eggs out of its cannon-like snout, and use the eggs like bullets. The player can jump on these to get a free ride. These look just like plain white eggs.
In Mario Kart: Double Dash!! these eggs were provided as an alternate to Yoshi Eggs. Like Yoshi Eggs their homing capabilities are amazing and release three random items, which could be a Bob-omb, Star, Mushroom, Green Shell, Red Shell, Thunderbolt, Fake Item Box, or Banana Peel. At the bottom of the screen you can see if an egg is near you. Sometimes if an egg hits you, it could be helpful.
