Big Urchins are a larger variety of Urchin first seen in Mario Party 10, they can be seen around the board Whimsical Waters and also appear in the minigame Fruit of the Doom. As players are collecting fruits on the waterfall, Urchins will descend to try and stop them. As time passes by, Big Urchins will also descend too, the Big Urchins will cause those who are hit to lose 3 points rather than just one so avoid them at all costs, they can also get in the way of the fruits making it harder to obtain them. Despite this, the Big Urchins aren't any more aggressive than a basic Urchin and can be dealt with in the same ways.
Big Urchins are also seen in Mario Party: Star Rush, in this game, they can be found in the minigame Cheep Cheep Reach as an obstacle to avoid while trying to grab the Cheep Cheeps from the water. If a Big Urchin is grabbed from the water, it will cause the player who grabbed it to lose points while also briefly stunning him/her.
