Big Monty Moles first appear in Super Mario Maker as well as it's two sequels as placeable enemies. In these games, they can be made by giving a Super Mushroom to a Monty Mole. In all 4 styles, big Monty Moles behave identically to the standard Monty Moles and also look identically to them only larger.
Yoshi's Crafted World[]

Big Monty Moles also appear in Yoshi's Crafted World. In this game, they appear in Monty-Mole-B-Gone as semi-common enemies and are always found in the background of each level they're in, and unlike the smaller Monty Moles, must be hit with two eggs to be defeated. It becomes red and enraged when hit once (with a similar look to that of Morty Mole) but is brought down upon a second hit. Big Monty Moles often appear when a red Winged Timer Cloud is hit, and must be defeated to make a Flower appear.
