Big Bungee Piranha

Big Bungee Piranha is a boss of World 2 in Yoshi's Island DS, where it is fought at the end of Big Bungee Piranha's Lair.

Profile[]

It is a huge, purple piranha plant that hangs from the ceiling and lunges down to take a bite at Yoshi. It resembles a gigantic Bungee Piranha with two Bungee buds.

Battle[]

Yoshi must eat Nipper Plants to produce eggs. Yoshi must stand on the Chomp Rock that you see placed in the room. When the piranha lowers down to attack Yoshi, it must proceed to move away. This will cause the plant to bite the Chomp Rock instead, causing him to howl in pain and reveal its tongue. The tongue is its weak spot. You must toss an egg at the tongue before he pulls it back in. After the plant takes two hits, it will become faster. After three hits, you'll have successfully defeated this boss.

Trivia[]

Bunson the Hot Dog and Big Bungee Piranha have the same weak spot that is the tongue.
In French, this boss is named as Yo-yo Piranha; its German name is Big Bungee-Piranha.
The Big Bungee Piranha shares some resemblance the Naval Piranha from the sequel, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
