Beef appears as a blobby pink creature wearing black karate shorts, black wristbands, and a red karate belt. His red hair is tied back in a chonmage
Powers and abilities[]
- Air Bash : Beef's Special Skill. He can charge a punch at his foes which lowers their Defense.
- Mystery Box: Beef can hit a yellow Block that can increase his troops' Power.
- Showdown: Beef can challenge Bowser Jr. to a one-on-one showdown.

Beef's cameo
Beef makes a brief cameo appearance in the main story. When Bowser accidentally detonated the storage of Bob-ombs after using a treadmill to burn off his fat from eating gallons of food as a trick deployed by Fawful, Beef can be seen unconscious, within the crates of Bob-ombs, and was presumably freed from that experience afterwards.

The Best Fitness Friends first appear in Bowser's Castle, where they offer their businesses to the Koopalings, starting with Skeletone Formula:D to cure the blorbs. They offer the ingredients to the Koopalings to find.
It turns out that they were following the Koopalings and Bowser Jr., tailing them down to swipe the forumla at the last second. At Cavi Cape, Iggy arrives at a cliff after being forced to leave by Bowser Jr., where he is ambushed and knocked over by the Best Fitness Friends. It seems that Beef has sorrow feelings for Iggy, and a bit later on, he is shown to call Kaley and Dieter "losers".
Back at Bowser's Castle, Dieter traps Larry, Lemmy and Wendy in barrels, but Larry and Lemmy manage to escape, while Dieter calls Beef to take the barrel with Wendy in it. At Dimble Wood, Bowser Jr., Kamek and Iggy (after he regains his memory and rejoins Bowser Jr.) run into Kaley and Beef. Before the fight can engage, it is finally revealed why Beef wasn't the way he was. It turns out that it was actually Ludwig in disguise, and stored Beef into the storage room.
However, as Bowser Jr., Kamek and Ludwig approach Bowser's Castle (West), they encounter the real Beef alongside Kaley and Dieter, who have Wendy in a barrel in their possession. However, she is freed by Captain Goomba, Shy Guy, Boo and Koopa Troopa, and they battle the Best Fitness Friends.
After Bowser Jr. recruits back Roy and Morton, they battle the Best Fitness Friends a final time. During the battle, they all merge into a gigantic monster and take Malatone Formula:X, before being defeated for good.
