Beam Team is a 1 vs. 3 mini-game that appears in Mario Party 5.

Gameplay

The three characters will work as a team to try and capture the lone player with their UFOs. The characters are situated in a set of ruins that are located near the shoreline. The team of three must capture the lone character by directing the UFO over the lone character.

In ordeer to capture the lone character, they must send down a beam above them. However, the team of three must work together to accomplish the task. If one of the UFOs crash into another UFO, both UFOs will be stunned for a brief moment and will not be able to captupe the lone character.

The lone character must avoid the team of three, if a UFO is direct overhead, they have a brief moment to escpae the beam before it descends onto land. If the UFO beam misses the play, it will leave a hole in the playing field.

If the group of three capture the lone character, they will win the game. If they lone character succeeds in avoiding the UFOs the lone character wins.

  • The rocks that appear inside the playing field will slow the character down
