The Battle Belt Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is located in World 6, the setting of the chapter Bowser In Our Sights. As its name implies, the Galaxy is essentially a huge gauntlet, since Mario has to defeat enemies (such as Goombas) to advance. Mario can access it with at least 65 Power Stars in his possession, including the first one from the Throwback Galaxy.
Power Stars[]
Mini-Planet Mega-Run[]
This mission is available from the start when Mario unlocks this Galaxy. In order to advance, he must defeat every enemy. At the end of the level, Mario must face four Silver Chomps, who serve as the boss of the level. After Mario defeats them, he can grab the key and save the Power Star.
Mini-Planet Daredevil Run[]
Same as Mini-Planet Mega-Run, but the Hungry Luma that inhabited the grassy plateau on the ice planet is gone, as is the Gobblegut Planet, forcing Mario to head for and defeat the Silver Chomps, Coins do not appear, and if anything hurts him, a life is automatically lost.
Snacktime for Gobblegut[]
If Mario scoops up at least 20 Coins, he can feed them to a Hungry Luma that lies on a grassy plateau on the ice planet and therefore spawns a bonus planet. When Mario makes his way there, Gobblegut returns to claim his revenge.
Green Star locations[]
All three Green Stars are on top of shields that guard either Warp Pipes (or, in the case of the last one, the Power Star). The first one can be obtained from either Mini-Planet Mega Run or Snacktime For Gobblegut, but the latter two are restricted to Mini-Planet Mega Run.
- After his arrival on the pumpkin-shaped planet with the walking flame-producing pumpkins, Mario must perform a backflip onto the shield that guards the Warp Pipe that leads into the planet, then perform a second one to get the Green Star. Grabbing the key will cause the shield to vanish, prohibiting him from grabbing the Star.
- Same thing, but on the grassy planet where the Undergrunts are digging their trenches.
- Same thing, but on the steel planet where the Silver Chomps are fought.
