"Bats in the Basement" is the eighth live-action segment of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. It is paired with the animated episode "Mario and the Beanstalk."
Plot[]
Mario and Luigi are returning home from a plumbing job and are talking about a foreign exchange student that will be staying with them. They find that there is a coffin in their room. The coffin is from Transylvania and belongs to Count Zoltan Dracula. They open the coffin and find there is a vampire inside.
They stay with him for at least a week and note that he claims to be incredibly old. They also note he stays asleep all day. Strange bills start to pile up, like for the blood bank, dental floss, and eye wash. Finally, the Marios realize that he's a vampire.
Looking to get rid of him, they get a book on how to kill vampires. However, none of the methods are acceptable to the pair. The vampire catches them and tells them that if they want him to leave, they just have to ask him.
