Baby Dragoneels[1] are smaller purple variants of the Dragoneel that appear in New Super Mario Bros. U. They only appear in the level Dragoneel's Undersea Grotto and guard the level's final Star Coin. They appear once the Star Coin is obtained and slowly chase after Mario. The only way to defeat a Baby Dragoneel is with a Star. They are also shorter than a Dragoneel.
