Ba-dum BUM! is the first level of World 1 in Yoshi's Island DS. It takes place in the overall grassy plains of Yoshi's Island with a good view of the sea. The level acts as a tutorial for how to utilize Yoshi Eggs as well as other actions such as dashing.
Walkthrough[]
Starting off the level, advance to the right and here you will come across two Shy Guys and a Crazee Dayzee, either beat or ignore the enemies and continue onward, from here, grab the Flower and then hit the Winged Cloud and climb the stairs formed by it to reach the three Red Coins and the Flower. After obtaining the collectibles, continue right, kill the chomping Piranha Plant and grab the Red Coin atop the Pipe, enter the Pipe and hit a ! Switch to make some Coins appear, use Baby Mario's dash ability to collect them all. After this, exit the cavern and continue along the main path. Be sure to get the Winged Cloud containing the Stars if you haven't already and drop down to get the next Flower. From here, kill the Piranha Plant and jump on the Ferris Wheel and obtain the Red Coins around it, continue along the path (underneath the "cheese"-like block, there is a hidden Winged Cloud containing some Stars so be sure to hit it). Continue onward and grab the next Flower above a Pipe where Shy Guys endlessly spawn out of. Another Winged Cloud can be seen here, hit it to make a Flower Plant grow, jump along the leaves to reach the higher portion of the level, turn left and hit the next Winged Cloud to make some stairs appear, climb the stairs to the island which contains a hidden Winged Cloud containing some more Stars and a Winged Cloud above containing the final flower Flower. There is also a Fly Guy here carrying a 1-Up, use any attack to steal the extra life from him. From here, continue back along the main path, the Ferris Wheel contains some more Red Coins, get the coins and tag the Middle Ring to earn some extra Stars, watch out for the Windbag which spews out Nipper Spores at you and from here, hit the Winged Clouds for some more treasures while avoiding some Glide Guys and Woozy Guys, get the last of the Red Coins and then jump through the GOAL! Ring to finish the level.
Baby Coin Location[]
You will need Baby Mario to obtain this Baby Coin. After the Middle Ring past the Windbag, there is a Warp Pipe enter the Warp Pipe to find a secret area with the Baby Coin inside.
