Luigi's Mansion

The Astral Hall is a room in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.

Description[]

The Astral Hall contains two drawers on either side of the room, five candelabra in the center, and a large crystal chandelier hanging in the middle of the candles. If Luigi leaves the room after clearing it, the candles become lit, although he cannot extinguish them, even when releasing water through the Water Elemental Ghost.

In Luigi's Mansion[]

Astral Hall is accessed in Area Three of Luigi's Mansion. If Luigi continues through the door on the right, he is looped back through the entrance to the room as a short tune plays. Luigi has to release fire via the effects of the Fire Elemental Ghost to light all the candelabra. Once the candles are lit, Luigi can enter the center of the room for an event to occur: the candle flames turn purple and suddenly extinguish while the door leading to the Observatory appears with a seal over it. Luigi is then ambushed by ghosts, including four Ghost Guys, two Gold Ghosts, and one Grabbing Ghost. Once Luigi has vacuumed up every ghost, the lights turn on, and the door to the Observatory is unsealed.

If Luigi visits Astral Hall during the blackout, there are six Ghost Guys to fight.

In the PAL releases' and the Nintendo 3DS version's Hidden Mansion, there are a lot more ghosts, including four Garbage Can Ghosts, two Grabbing Ghosts, two Red Grabbing Ghosts, three Gold Ghosts, and two Mr. Bones.
