Physical description[]
Anonster is a large spider with three red eyes, a yellow face, and a circular target on its abdomen. At first, Anonster's abdomen is blue, but it turns green upon being hit then red upon taking another hit.
Powers and abilities[]
Like several other spiders, Anonster hangs and moves around a tree by a thread. Anonster can create web projectiles to shoot at Wario, and Anonster's projectiles always float slowly to the ground. If Wario touches a web projectile, he briefly transforms into Ball o' String Wario, having the same effect as a Silky's webs.
In Wario Land 3[]
Anonster is fought inside of a large tree during the level Out of the Woods. Wario must avoid having Anonster turn him into Ball o' String Wario, otherwise he is uncontrollably forced out of the battle, which then resets. To attack Anonster, Wario has to wait for Anonster's web projectile to land onto the ground, upon which it forms into a ball of webs. Anonster does not shoot any web projectiles while there is a ball of webs, which Wario then has to pick up and throw at Anonster, briefly stunning it before it jumps onto the ground. While on the ground, Anonster tries to jump onto Wario and continues spitting web projectiles, except horizontally rather than from above because it is on the ground. If the web either hits Wario or Anonster spits webs onto the ground twice, Anonster jumps back up, requiring Wario to bring it back down. Wario can damage Anonster by performing a Smash Attack on its abdomen.
After each hit, Anonster moves increasingly faster. After taking one hit, Anonster spits two web projectiles, then three after taking another hit. When Wario hits Anonster's back a third and final time, it gets defeated, and Wario can then move on to obtain the Blue Chest, which contains one of the Music Boxes.
