Alien Laser Hero is the boss microgame of Dr. Crygor's stage in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! and WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!. It is categorized under the Reality folder.
Gameplay[]
The objective is for a giant, metallic head to defend Earth from meteors of varying sizes. There are circle-shaped meteors, which travel at an average speed; oval meteors, which drop quickly but briefly pause during their descent; triangle-shaped meteors, which move in a zigzag pattern; and small meteors, which are hard to aim at. The head constantly shoots a green laser from its eye, and it has to aim its laser at the meteor until it gets destroyed. The only time the head does not shoot out a laser is while the vase is sending out another set of meteors.
After the giant head destroys a few waves of meteors, the vase appears close to the head, which has to fire its laser at the vase until it is destroyed. The vase moves in a zigzag pattern, and destroying it requires more hits from the laser than from any of the meteors. The vase continues to drop meteors even while it is near the giant head. Once the vase is destroyed, the player wins at the microgame. If any meteor hits Earth, the player loses at the microgame.
Difficulty levels[]
- Level 1: The vase first drops circle-shaped meteors, then oval meteors, and lastly small meteors. While the vase is being fought, it releases circle-shaped meteors.
- Level 2: The vase drops three, four, or five meteors during each wave. While the vase is being fought, it releases triangle-shaped meteors.
- Level 3: The vase releases more than one type of meteor simultaneously, and during its final set the vase releases every type of meteor at the same time. While the giant head fights the vase itself, it shoots out any type of meteor.
