Africa is a real-world continent found on Earth. Its first appearance in Mario-related media is the Saturday Supercade episode "Hairy Parent," but the first appearance of Africa in a Mario game is Mario is Missing!. Egypt is the most famous country within Africa and the most recurring within Mario-related media.

Africa makes a minor appearance in Globe Gunners on the globe and its corresponding top screen map.
