? Panels are an object featured in some Mario games. It first debuted in Super Mario Kart, but since the following title, Mario Kart 64, the role of ? Panels within the Mario Kart series has been taken over by Item Boxes.
Description[]
They are yellow, flat panels with a question mark in the center. ? Panels are the ground counterpart of a Question Block, although instead of floating in midair, ? Panels lie flat on the ground.
In Super Mario Kart[]
If one is driven over, the item list would come up, and the items will quickly scroll vertically in a roulette-like fashion; the item it stops on is the item a player can use. When a Block is hit, a weird type of harmony comes on.
In Mario Hoops 3-on-3[]
? Panels are placed on the ground. Their function was changed to more closely match that of a Question Block's in that a character can dribble on a ? Panel to receive coins.
